In order to arrive at a reasonable and set pricing we first analyse your device. When your memory device or system is no longer working, it might be due to a variety of pysical or logical issues. We invest our time into finding out what went wrong and how to resolve the problem. If we have to use a donor drive or other spare parts to recover your data, we research what we have instock and if necessary source it from other locations. Our quoted data recovery costs include the necessary parts costs! Thereby you do not keep getting additional requests for more budget as we do not believe in cost bloating.
The case evaluation includes a diagnosis report so that you are able to understand the current situtation without having to read a load of technical information you do not understand. As a client you should be made aware of any associated risks with the suggested solution or recovery attempt. We do not leave you alone with a quote and analysis report – you might have difficulty in understanding – as having a conversation is the best way to explain how to proceed with the data recovery.

Cost of Analysis
In order to get a set quote regarding your individual case we need to analyse your device. The more time we invest in your case the more precise we can calculate your fixed price. As you can imagine, this is a task that generates us labour costs. If you let us do the complete data recovery for you we do not charge for the analysis.

In order to know the costs and associated risks we need to evaluate your device. We pick up your drive free of charge at your prefered address (e.g. Office or home address) with DHL! We do invest considerable time into the analysis of your device no matter which tariff you chose. If you are in no hurry, pick our economical “Economy Tariff” in order to save costs as it is the best choice in such situations. Express cases are high priority and costs by far more.

WE ARE A DATA RECOVERY SERVICE NOT A PARCEL SERVICE! SHIPPING COST:
We pick up your drives free of charge but need to invoice the postage and packing for drives you request to be returned without a data recovery assignment. This P&P handling takes up our technicians time that should be focused on getting recoveries completed. Hence, we are forced to charge for such shipments.
If you do ask us to recover your data then we will ship free of charge the new USB Drive to you that contains your data.

Why do we charge Analysis fees?
We take the time to evaluate your drive and provide you insights into the risks involved. In some cases there is no need for a data recovery but actually a small fix of a loose cable. Nevertheless, our technical staff prefer to invest time into your case rather than just picking a recovery price out of the blue. A professional drive analysis takes time and incurs us with labour cost. If you do accept our offer to do the data recovery, we do not charge you for the analysis!
DATA RECOVERY AT A FAIR PRICE
The exact cost of a data recovery attempt are based on our analysis of damage, risks, parts needed and their costs as well as the to be expected labour cost. The volume of data to be recovered has really no true influence on the cost of the data recovery. After our analysis you receive from us a proper written offer with fixed price quotes and a risk assessment. Even then if you are unsure about the case, you can call us and we will be happy to explain things in a way you as a non-data recovery expert will understand.
We want you to feel comfortable with commissioning the data recovery job. Unfortunately we can not create miracles not can we look into the future. We try our best to get your data back at an affordable and fair cost. If you work for one of our corporate clients you might be eligable for a corporate rate and get some extra goody.
